Room Heating

There are two main types of gas heaters either Portable (unflued) gas heaters or Flued heaters. Within these categories there are radiant, convector, radiant-convectors, power flued, flued radiant and wall heaters.

Radiant gas heaters give off a direct heat, they allow specific spaces within an indoor area to be heated, warming the area in front of the unit. They come in smaller sizes and are generally not suitable for large spaces.

Convector heaters warm the area using air movement, they help distribute the heat from the gas burner by incorporating a fan to move the heat more evenly throughout the space. Convection heaters are more suitable for larger spaces.

Flued heaters vents the air pollutants and water vapour outside the home through a chimney or flue. A flued Gas heater can be installed onto an internal or external wall, with the flue either going through the wall or up through the cavity.
