I spoke with Matt about replacing a gas hot water system, he was quick to return with a competitive next-day quote and he was professional over the phone.Unlike the previous shady plumber who tried to take advantage of my parents by charging a $600 diagnosis fee and $4000+ like-for-like replacement fee, Matt actually suggested a cheaper model that had the same internals & warranty period to the one I was after - but I was set on the pricier model.The hot water system was replaced on the agreed date and timeframe, and the quality of the installation was to a high standard even though it was a Friday arvo job.There were no extra costs associated with the installation and the whole process was very smooth as it should be, even the card payment processing fee was already factored into the price.

Today Isaac installed our Rheem electric hot water tank and did a very good job as he was very thorough. The company is very honest as they will give you a good fair price and will make sure to proceed with the quoted price. Isaac was very polite and really helpful in explaining the benefits of an electric hot water tank compared to solar hot water tank and was more than happy to answer any of our questions in good detail. Had a rheem hot water system fault. I had a split system SANDEN 300L heatpump installed last week. Couldn't be happier with it and Australian Hot Water (Canberra) and the entire installation process.Some months back I got 6 or so quotes from a variety of hotwater companies in Canberra. I was exploring all options to replace my (almost 30 year old) existing gas hotwater tank (which was leaking). Among the best and most professional quotes was from Graham from Australian Hot Water. He wasn't pushy at all and on my request he gave me quotes for multiple hot water options i.e. gas, electric, heatpump (both all in one and split system). I'd never heard of heatpumps at the time and subsequently did my own research. After weighing up the various hotwater options, and different suppliers, I ended up deciding on the SANDEN split system heatpump from Australian Hot Water (Canberra), based on Grahams very professional quote in person (in particular all the time he spent explaining all options to me). Their price was also the best (or else similar) to my other SANDEN spilt system quotes. Furthermore however, turns out Australian Hot Water are one of only four (i think) companies in Canberra where you get a $1250 rebate off the purchase price (if you're with ActewAGL for electricity) so this further brought the cost down significantly.When my existing hot water system ended up failing and stopped working altogether (which was very stressful at the time), Kylie (admin lady on the phone) was able to organise a temporary hot water tank at short notice (for the next day thankfully), which gave us hot water again. She also organised and fast tracked an install of a brand new split system SANDEN heatpump just a few days later (for which I was very appreciative).Kylie also handled all the re-quoting (as the rebates had increased, so price had come down significantly) and organised all the interest free finance available to us here in the ACT (so no upfront out of pocket expense at all). It all couldn't have been simpler.The actual installation itself was just as professional. Plumbers turned up at midday, removed my old tank (and the temporary tank) and were happy to explain what they were doing and answer all my questions. The installation was very neat and tidy. Friends/family all commented on how neat and professional the new system looks. As the plumbers were finishing the electricians arrived and were just as professional. They ran a separate circuit to my fuse box and were in and out with no fuss. Total installation (and removal of old system) took just under 4 hours.I couldn't be happier with the entire process

So we reached out to a few companies that seemed to have good reviews.We were warmly welcomed by Sammy who works in the office, she patiently explains to us of the services they offer and how they can help us with the government rebates. She promptly organise a free onsite quotation for us.When Theo came to our house in a timely manner, he explains to us the pros and cons of the electric water tank and the heat pump and gives us no pressure to install either option. Theo has been in the industry for decades, he gave us valuable information as well as some tips to identify scammers for these government rebates. He is knowledge and easygoing.On the day of installation, Michael, Martin and Theo came earlier than the appointment time. I was surprised as there were the only one of the many tradies that I meet lately that's actually on time. The installation was done within 1.5 hour. The whole time, these gentlemen had been very very professional, communicating prior and well so I have predictability. They all had been in the industry and the company for a long time! They are very skilful and careful! I can’t recommend Australian Hot water West highly enough. I made the mistake of falling for one of the cheap as chips Hot water “offers” going around at the moment (Emerald brand) and when it all went pear shaped after just two years (the emerald system stopped working and parts were unobtainable) Australian hot water West not only gave me a good deal on a replacement, they supplied me with a temporary plug in hot water system until they could source and install a new system. A reputable brand (a Rheem ambipower 280). Done and dusted in 24 hours…couldn’t be happier

Steve organised for someone to come out and take a look same day and within hours he had booked servicing with the manufacturer. The hot water system was fixed the following Monday. Prompt service from the request for quote to the installation.My only gripes are the relatively small mess ( pieces of plumber's tape , timber drilling dust) left outside by the installers, the packing tape left sticking on the HWS and not sealing the hot water pipe penetration through the weatherboard. Other than those minor matters everything was done professionally, courteously and in a timely manner.

Don’t bother with plumbing companies and don’t get deterred by what they say about Australian hot water(ahw) and their policy of clearly stating the price online. I was quoted 2k and 1k more for a cheaper hot water system but glad I waited for an AHW technician. His quote was exactly what was online and he just said after inspecting that may cost an extra 15 for a part, which wasn't needed in the end. Complete rip-off by plumbing companies even the ones with prior experience of servicing. The plumbing companies are aware of the clear price quoted by AHW and they try the scare tactic that oh jee they will quote you extras. I have no issues with plumbing companies just highlighting so others can get better or the same service for a fair price.
Billy was very friendly and helpful. He explained the pros and cons of heat pump vs electric hot water systems in conjunction with our new solar panels.Service was amazing and the price was great. Our old hot water system was removed, taken away and replaced with a new one within a few hours. Australian Hot Water – East, were the best!!! I had a challenging job for the boys, and that was to remove my old 300lt solar hot water system from the roof, which was 3 levels up!!!! and then some how find the best way to get the gas from ground level up to the top level to install a new gas instantaneous hot water system into my laundry. I was dreading the day when Grant, Marcos and Jake came to do the job, as I knew the old system was going to have to be taken down and out through the apartment. The whole day it took to complete, went far smoother than expected. Grant was not phased by the job at all, I like a challenge he said. He came up with a good plan when he quoted for the job and on the day of removal and installation, any changes to that plan (and there were some) he spoke with me and explained why the changes were necessary prior to going ahead. AHW recently installed my new heat pump hot water heater. I wanted an efficient electric hot water system to replace my gas hot water system. I needed one that was lightweight and could be installed on my cantilever balcony, and was quiet too as it was next to my bedroom. So they installed a Sanden heat pump system that does the job. Great quality, professional and responsive.

Hi All,I would like to share my experience with Australian Hot Water. I recently signed deal with them for my hot water update. The deal signed on Thursday, and they turned up the next Monday with everything ready. After the installation, we found the meter needs to be switched from Off-peak 1 to 2 . That is saying we are not going to get hot water until the next morning because the hot water unit currently running at night. The guys didn't leave us in this award situation, they called the boss and installed a temporary GPO for us, without any charges! I would like to call out the great service, and I will definitely recommend them to anyone who need to install the hot water system!
Job wasn't straightforward but the quote from Australian Hot Water was significantly less than other reputable suppliers. I was very happy with the the job carried out by Troy.

Rang AHW and spoke to Steve on the 29th May, organised Grant to come the next day to check it out, got our quote the following morning, we had our tank delivered on Sat, rang Steve on Mon, Grant showed up today, few hours later, Hot Water is ON! Few things worth mentioned here: they dont bull you (i did call a few just to check on pricing etc) - straight forward honest quote, they even helped us with the rebate paperworks! Which is amazing! Less hassle! 5 stars recommendation!!!!!! 👍🏻

My 12-year old continuous water heater gave signs of old age thus needed replacement. Billy (from Australian Hot Water - West) immediately called me back to understand my issue and gave me options for replacement.Billy has given me reasonable quotes - which is inclusive of alterations to the existing pipework (for which I found other suppliers to be charging additional cost on top of the supplied-installed quotes).After accepting the quote in the morning, Matt is already at our doorstep in less than 3 hours - and fixed/replaced our outdoor water heating unit and indoor controller. I found Matt to very professional, friendly and considerate. I observe his respect not only for his customer - but also on his customer's home. He works very neatly - that you won't see any traces of materials left on work area. Seldom do I see tradies who cleans up and would remove working shoes when they get inside the customer's homes. Matt removed his ones, although it would have been fine with me.The family really appreciated the work delivered by AHW-West - and the excellent customer service we received. Will definitely keep them in our contacts list for hot water/plumbing issues.

I have a solar hot water unit and have had no hot water for 3 days. I spoke to a number of friends that are plumbers including my Nephew, every one of them said to call Aust Hot Water, as the will be faster and cheaper than them.I made the call Thursday afternoon and John turned up first thing Friday morning, he had one look at my switchboard and found the problem. He could of bluffed me into paying for a new HWU as I had already told him we would need to replace it. Its a rare thing in this day and age (at least for me) to find someone so honest and reliable. I would recommend them to anyone that needed work done.

Recently installed a new hot water system through AHS East Sydney. Had a very positive experience. Steve in the showroom was very pleasant to deal with and explained things clearly to me. Marcus and Noah installed the system and after 2 months, nil issues to date. They also returned today free of charge to change a pipe which I had chosen on the day, but later changed my mind for aesthetic reasons. Was very happy that they came back for me when technically they had already finished the job. Would recommend to other owners.
Matt and Kai turned up early and as I knew already my water heater would need to be replaced. Then had a long discussion re a like for like replacement or swapping to a instant hot water system. Instant came out slightly cheaper and it's what I wanted since I had one at my old property. They just got on with it and done a great job. Removed the old tank system cleaned up after themselves and done a 5* star job that came in under what I was expecting to pay.
Marcus and Noah from Australian Hot Water arrived on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and explained all the steps they were taking. They were respectful, polite and friendly (with a bit of banter thrown in), and did a really great job.
Highly recommend for all your hot water problems. My hot water tank packed it in the day before New Year’s Eve. I rang them at 10pm and they said they could replace it the next day. Trying to find someone at this time of year can be difficult. Matt from Australian Hot Water couldn’t have been more helpful/knowledgeable . Now we have a new tank and hot water again. Australian Hot Water -East (Marcus, Grant and team) installed a 26 liter Riannai heater for us, they also removed the old heater tank that we originally had in our laundry room. They did an amazing job installing the new unit, they relocated the new heater outside the house so new connections and pipes were required. I can say that all the new pipes and connections are very well done and nicely place around the existing Gas and hot water pipes. I recommend these guys for your hot water services, they are professionals and their quotes for the services provided to us were reasonable.

Although Brent was late (through no fault of his), I was extremely happy with his work. Our old 80 gal gravity feed Joseph Autohot water heater in the roof sprung a major leak flowing through the ceiling into the house. I contacted Australian Hot Water who were excellent in quickly responding and discussing options, we deciding on Rheem Model 4A1315. This involved isolating the old roof heater, planning and installing new pipework etc coupling the new outside water heater to existing pipework. I could not have been happier with the speed, expertise and professionalism in organising and completing the installation now working perfectly. They were very easy to deal with and the pricing for our complex installation was very reasonable, I would certainly recommend them to others requiring similar services.

I'm a plumber. My elderly neighbours had hot water issues but I just didn't have time. I told them to call Aus Hot Water. Unfortunately they rang a different plumber who quoted them 6 grand. Poor old lady nearly had a heart attack so I got onto Aus Hot Water in Caringbah. Spoke with Adam and within 2hrs they were there and replaced the thermostat. Couple of hundred dollars. Great experience, we are converting from gas to electricity. They installed a heat pump hot water system which needed new wiring, they also ran a new circuit to the kitchen for an electric cooktop. All the work was done quickly but carefully, pipework and wiring was neat and tidy, as was the site when they left. Minimum disruption. The office staff communicated regularly throughout the lead up all thorough professionals, thanks everyone.

Outstanding service of Wayne and Daniel in supplying and installing my new hot water tank. My old hot water suddenly gave up after 14 years in the eve of the State of Origin. Hoping against hope that I maybe able to get in touch with hot water specialist in this evening, when almost all are watching the State of Origin and can not be bothered, I contacted Australian Hot Water who answered my call right away and provided me a number who would assist me on my problem. I contacted the number and was able to right away talk to Wayne. He sorted my problem and arranged the delivery and installation of a new hot water tank the next day. The next day, the new hot water is installed as per schedule. Wayne and Daniel you both are a legend.
Great Job, Australian Hot Water. I used the Caringbah store. I called Mat in the office with issue on Electric Storage system. He sent Brent out same day. Brent showed up spot on time and diagnosed my system. This is where these guys are great. Not only plumbing experience but also electrical. Brent found that the Hot Water system itself was fine and diagnosed it back to my Off Peak meter which had not triggered as usual. Brent got it working and informed if happens again contact electrical supply company. So in the end a relatively cheap outcome. I must congratulate Brent- very professional and helpful.. He arrived earlier than expected and finished the job in next to no time and was extremely polite and even helped do something with our tap in the kitchen to improve the flow rate. very professional service and I'll be sure to use and recommend AHW in the future

Our large hot water system leaked late on a Friday afternoon. While it was clear the system needs to be replaced, no plumber would offer to do the work, let alone on the weekend. I found these guys through a google search on our current model. They immediately quoted, which was better than what others were quoting. We booked them in and they turned up as promised. It was a very hot and himid day, but no complaints and just got the job done showing me how to use the new system, leaving no mess and putting fencing back in place as well. They also took care of the 22 year old system as well. So glad we found them. I'm recommending them to you without hesitation.

Wow, these guys were just simply amazing, I've had few plumbers come out and ended up picking figures out of the blue. And then came these guys, they spent a fair bit of time/days and informed in detail various options and best lowest prices to start. Yesterday found our gas HWS tank was leaking after 24 years use.Last night wrote a message to Australian Hot Water for a quote and this morning 7:30am Cameron had a look and it was replaced before lunch.Decided on the gas instantaneous which required a bit of copper to connect to our larger diameter pipes but the job is super tidy.Friendly guys and neat work. Definitely recommend! I called Australian Hot Water at 9.30am after waking to no hot water and by 1pm the same day we had a new hot water system installed. This included a free assessment and quote with 3 different options. All points of contact were professional, courteous and were nice guys to chat to. I had a really good experience with these guys. I would specifically like to thank John and Josh for providing an honest and affordable service in a challenging older strata building that a lot of people would have walked away from.I was so happy with the service first time around that I contacted AHW a second time to ask if they could refer me to a plumber to do some other invasive cold water work. It turns out that they were able to do it themselves for around 1/6 of what a few other plumbers told me it would cost.It’s nice to know there are some honest tradies left. Thanks again!

Woke up to no hot water the other day at my rental property and a loud noise coming from the hot water unit. I called my real estate and within a very short period of time had a call from a gentleman from Australian Hot Water. He was very polite and after explaining my situation he told me that someone would be out to see me in 30mins. A very ploite and professional young man was then at my house in no time - he quickly diagnosed the problem and that very same same day i had a new hot water unit installed. The next morning I had hot water again. The whole process was seamless. I will definitely recommend this company in the future.

Chris and his team were great. Came the same day and hooked up replacement tank to get me through until gas connected. Once gas hooked up, they promptly returned to install a new gas hot water system, plus plumbing for heating and gas cook top. Couldn't be happier. Then I stumbled on these guys by accident and they came over and fixed the problem same day in a matter of 20 minutes or so. Im a very happy customer, their service is great.
These guys are the bomb, called in morning and had me back in hot water with a new system that afternoon. Polite, courteous and on time, cleaned up when they left. All at a good price. You guys have my vote.
